Academy Awards…A New Purse and Bowie Belt!
Sunday, February 25th, 2007Academy Awards – Sunday Morning – good morning to stay away from Hollywood. The traffic has already gotten insane everywhere…..so it’s time to stay home and tell my fellow “clotheshorses” about my most recent acquisitions – which I will soon be “sporting” about town with jeans and a furlesque tee! Here we go…
Chapter 1
“The Garage Sale Purse”
We went out hiking, walking, exercising (I was trying to be good). We chatted, didn’t go quite as far as hoped but it was a decent distance…and we turned for home…
As we’re on our way back, my friend says “Let’s check out that garage sale”….I say “Noooooooooo I’m trying to be good” but somehow I cross the street…..get a glimpse of this unusual little handmade darling….and it’s all over.
I’m trouncing home happily with another new purse “in tow”! Loving how the little beads glisten as the sun hits it…..oooooooooooo….they’re like crystals! (check it out below)
Chapter 2
“The David Bowie Belt”
I innocently went shopping with a guy friend who needed warm clothes for his Europe trip……KAAAAAPOOOOOOWWWWW! We’re at BLOOMIES (bloomingdales for the less shop-a-holic types), in the men’s dept. and I see a jesus belt, but there’s no price on it – sooooo my boyfriend sweetly goes to find another one and brings back a couple belts, ONE OF WHICH IS A DAVID BOWIE BELT….bye bye Jesus hello David! Sorry my pics are down and dirty so it’s hard to see – but it’s all cool and distressed and worn out with Bowie’s various incarnations – he now goes everywhere with me!!!! Weeeelllll, that’s it for now….gotta admit, I hope “The Departed” wins – I ADORED it from the moment it started and every cute actor boy in Hollywood is in it!!!!
