Furlesque (pronounced like “Burlesque”) was inspired by artist Dion Macellari's paintings of women. It was Maggie Maki’s idea to put them on tees, and Furlesque’s first collection: pop culture victims was born...things just started to blossom from there. Fast forward to 2009 and Furlesque has introduced two new collections: faces, fotos, and flowers, followed by from girls to goth to graffiti. A limited-edition run of faces, fotos, and flowers is available at Magnolia Commons in Burbank, and from girls to goth to graffiti is available in our online store.
Each design is printed in extremely limited runs to ensure maximum quality and uniqueness. When you put on a Furlesque tee, you are wearing a limited-edition, exclusive piece - we cater to the girl who wants to wear something unique, different, and maybe a little against the grain.
Sign up for the Furlesque newsletter, become a fan on Facebook, or follow us on Twitter to be the first to hear about the availability of new runs and designs. You'll also hear about when Furlesque is appearing at events such as the LA Derby Dolls, Silverlake Arts and Crafts Fair, or Unique LA.
